Worship Service

Sundays at 9:30 am in person and virtually via live stream on YouTube.

At Kent Lutheran Church we value God’s love as a gift to be shared with everyone and that everyone is a child of God invited to be embraced by God. We gather every Sunday at 9:30 am to worship together, receive forgiveness together, celebrate communion together, and pray together.

Our worship services use a Blended style of worship, combining elements of both the Traditional Style and the more modern Informal Style.

Blended Worship Style

Our worship style is what might be considered blended liturgical worship, containing both “traditional” components, as well as more “contemporary” components, often leaning more seasonally one way or another. Although these are somewhat subjective terms, “traditional” for us often means more use of the organ, as well as inclusion of more traditional liturgical components, such as chanting. “Contemporary” for us often means more use of more contemporary worship music, most often using the piano, as well as more contemporary language and options as we pray and profess our faith. Most worship services will have both traditional and more contemporary components. We use the “Narrative Lectionary” which helps
us journey through Scripture focusing on story as the main means of connecting with God’s Word.
