Lead Pastor - Jane Prestbye
Since
September 1999, Kent Lutheran Church has had the pleasure of Pastor
Jane Prestbye serving as lead pastor. She and her husband Fergus
reside nearby in downtown Kent, Washington. She has lived in
northwest Washington all her life except for some time in Minnesota
while studying for her Masters of Divinity at Luther
Seminary. She has served several congregations in the northwest
area including Bellingham, Seattle, and Bothell, where she devoted
time to Christian Education and Youth Ministry. Before accepting her
call to Kent Lutheran Church, she was on the faculty of Trinity
Lutheran College (formerly LBI) for thirteen years. Pastor Jane
excels at getting people together to talk, listen, think, pray,
laugh, and serve. She delights in any opportunity to help people
consider God’s love in and through their lives.
Ministry Associate for Visitation & Spiritual
Formation - Kimberly Wuest
Kimberly
Wuest began as Lay Ministry Leader at Kent Lutheran Church in
September 2000. She plays a vital and joyous role as she learns,
serves, grows, and prays with the people of the congregation. She
has served various areas of the northwest, including the San Juan
Islands, Issaquah, and Longview before moving to Kent. She has an
undergraduate degree in Anthropology (an interesting complement for
church work) and is currently working towards her Associate in
Ministry. She has a passion for prayer and for helping people find
God’s love in action in their everyday lives.
