Leadership Opportunities

KLC embraces the teaching that are often called the "priesthood of all believers" in which Martin Luther (who was probably the earliest to use the term in its now common meaning) said that the functions of priesthood are to preach, pray for one another and offer oneself in sacrifice. The definition is firmly grounded in Christ's example and teachings. Luther pointed out that this understanding presses us to be a missional church, where each member is called to function as a priest toward people outside as well as inside the church. This idea has come alive at KLC with an active lay leadership. Many of our members have taken on leadership roles to support the worship experience and various mission projects of the church.
